Mr Segun Oni, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate in Ekiti State, bemoaned the spate of attacks on his supporters in the days leading up to the June 18 election, saying thugs are gradually taking over the political space and attacking perceived opponents. Former governor of the state, Oni, said he was not shocked by the "upsurge in violent attacks by political actors."  We've previously sounded the alert, and state agents are now carrying it out.
