Just In:Sultan announces sighting of crescent moon for Ramadan fasting
The national moon sighting committee says the crescent for Ramadan fasting has been sighted.
In a post on X, the committee said the sultanate had confirmed a single sighting claim.
Muhammad Abubakar, Sultan of Sokoto, is expected to announce the beginning of Ramadan.
