‘Fake Pastor’: Chris Okafor Keeps Mum as Doris Ogala Shares Alleged Nude Image

Lagos-based pastor, Chris Okafor, has remained silent amid a storm of allegations by actress Doris Ogala, who accused him of promising marriage to her and other members of his church, before eventually marrying another woman.
The controversy escalated after Ogala a photo alleged to show Okafor topless, with a towel wrapped around his waist, inside what she claimed was his bedroom. In her caption, she wrote, “This is his bedroom. After making love. Full video dropping soon. You said I’m lying; okay. You shared my naked body. Everyone will watch yours. This video is from a girl he promised marriage. She sent it to me.”

The post surfaced shortly after Okafor’s wedding to his new bride, Pearl, which took place earlier in the week. Despite Ogala’s viral accusations of betrayal, emotional manipulation, and a broken promise of marriage following an alleged long-term relationship, the cleric proceeded with both his traditional and white wedding ceremonies.
In several emotional videos posted online, Ogala accused Okafor of destroying her life, claiming their relationship began around 2017 and lasted for several years. She alleged that she ended her previous marriage at his urging and suffered emotional trauma when he abruptly cut off the relationship without notice.
At the time, apparently referring to Okafor’s planned wedding, she repeatedly said in one video, “No, you will not marry ooo, who are you leaving me for, this marriage will not work.”
In an interview on April 12, 2025, Ogala maintained that her relationship with Okafor was well known within his household. She said, “I practically lived in his house, and all his daughters and his sister’s son know me. We had sex everywhere in the house because he was my boyfriend then, and he promised me marriage.”
She repeated similar claims in an interview with media personality Daddy Freeze, explaining that her recent outburst was triggered by emotional vulnerability. According to her, the relationship was deeply affectionate and lasted from 2017 to 2019.
Adding to the controversy, a colleague identified as Digidi Dunhill claimed in another video that Ogala had attempted to harm herself. The actress also shared a “formal demand letter” from her lawyers, Synergy Law, on Instagram.
The letter reportedly demanded ₦1 billion in damages from Okafor for alleged breach of promise to marry, emotional distress, and reputational damage, giving him 21 days to respond or face legal action.
Meanwhile, a woman identified as Benita Ahane, who claimed to be the sister of Ogala’s ex-husband, Kingsley Ayanwu, alleged that Ogala’s previous marriage failed because she did not want children. Ogala denied the claim, accusing the woman of impersonation and calling for her arrest.
Despite the online backlash, Okafor went ahead with his wedding. He and his bride, Pearl, were seen celebrating after their traditional and white wedding held in Lekki, Lagos, on December 16.
In a pre-wedding video, Pearl described their union as divinely orchestrated, saying, “God brought us together.” She also expressed her desire to build a family with Okafor.
Okafor shared videos from their traditional shoot and proposal on Instagram but disabled the comment section.
