Royal Disgrace! Fusengbuwa Ruling House Throws K1 Out – You Are Not One of Us

The Fusengbuwa Ruling House of Ijebu‑Ode, which is slated to present the next Awujale of Ijebuland, has rejected the claim of popular Fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, known as KWAM I, that he is a member of the family.
In a letter responding to the nomination form KWAM I submitted to contest for the Awujale stool, the house stated that the form was not signed by an authorized representative and therefore his asserted lineage is null, void and of no consequence.
A family representative spoke to the media after a meeting on Thursday, 11 December 2025, saying, “We just rose from the family meeting where all the Olori Ebi, the heads of the Jadiara and Fusengbuwa families, confirmed that based on the lineage data form he completed, KWAM I is certainly not one of us.”

The representative added that the Awujale nomination forms had already closed by the time KWAM I began claiming membership, questioning how someone who has never attended family meetings or contributed to the family could now assert a connection.
The statement concluded that KWAM I is attempting to rewrite history, but the Fusengbuwa ruling house will not accept fabricated lineage, and those who present false claims will not be part of its future.
