K1’s Claim Falls Flat: No Genealogical Connection to Jadiara House – Oloriebi
The Chairman of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, Oloriebi, has declared that Otunba Wasiu Ayinde Anifowose MON lacks any genealogical connection to the Jadiara Royal House, a claim that has sparked a public dispute over the upcoming Awujale succession.
In a letter dated 7 December 2025, addressed to the Deputy Chairman, Vice‑Chairman and other officials of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, Oloriebi wrote: “I can say categorically that Wasiu has no genealogical lineage to Jadiara Royal House.” He added that the house had provided Anifowose with a nomination form to verify his lineage, but the nominee had not submitted the required documents.
The Jadiara Royal House, which is awaiting proof of Anifowose’s ancestry, said it will keep the public informed as the matter develops. The letter was copied to the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR; the Executive Chairman of Ijebu‑Ode Local Government; the Ogun State Commissioner for Local Government & Chieftaincy Affairs; the Attorney‑General; the Secretary of Ijebu‑Ode Local Government; and the Chairman of the Awujale Interregnum Administration Council.
Anifowose, a prominent Fuji musician and community figure, has expressed interest in contesting the Awujale stool through the Jadiara Royal House. The dispute highlights ongoing succession challenges within traditional institutions in Ogun State.
The Fusengbuwa Ruling House has urged all parties to await the outcome of the verification process before making further statements.
