Peter Obi Should Agree to Run as VP candidate with Atiku Abubakar on ADC Ticket…..Dele Momodu
…. We’re Considering Rotimi Amaechi if

Dele Momodu ,Journalist and Politician who doubles as an ally of former President Atiku Abubakar has disclosed that a joint ticket on the African Democratic Congress with Atiku Abubakar as Presidential candidate and Peter Obi as his running mate would cancel out President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his All Progressives Congress APC in the 2027 presidential race. He however disclosed that Peter Obi is yet to make up his mind on the offer. Momodu said the the Atiku Abubakar camp has a fallback position in Rotimi Amaechi Former Governor of Rivers State as running mate if Peter Obi finally declines the offer.
I have said this to Peter Obi. We have met several times in my houses in Lagos and Ghana. If Peter Obi does not take advantage of a ready-made union between him and Atiku, it would be very unfortunate. It would be as good as working for Tinubu to come back.
“Despite all their shenanigans in 2023, they lost Lagos to Obi. They lost Osun to Gov Ademola Adeleke. Obi needs to make up his mind. For now, I don’t know his party. PDP is crumbling, LP has crumbled. Where does he want to go?”
A lot of people are underrating Amaechi. Amaechi single-handedly handed power to Buhari. What the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, is doing now, though in an unruly manner, Amaechi did quite well when he was governor of Rivers State. Amaechi mobilised more than any other person for Buhari, even more than Tinubu. If Obi does not make up his mind or chooses to run alone, then I believe the mantle might fall on Rotimi Amaechi.”
“The person you want to dislodge is already a President. He has everything. He is either coercing or cajoling the governors and senators to join him. He wants to present a false alibi that everybody loves him. He knows what he is doing.
“He wants to create a false image of someone who cannot be defeated, so that when they succeed at doing their manipulation, they will say, ‘what did you expect?’I must confess that I have never seen a man like Alhaji before. He takes everything in his strides. He took the punches well and all the darts like a porcupine. Most politicians would have brought down the roofs. But his faith in Allah is unshakable. What should have been to his glory eventually became his albatross.
But Allah compensated him with extraordinary favor as a businessman. While his peers became parasites, feeding fat on the State, Alhaji became a modern day King Midas and most businesses he touched turned into gold. Though he never abandoned his political dreams, he pursued his ambition with visionary clarity and painstaking discipline. He never engaged in violence. He rather invested, unrelentingly, in the rule of Law. Whenever he contested and he felt robbed of victory, he headed straight to the courts of the land. Many of his landmark cases have since enriched our jurisprudence and legal lexicon. He has remained a tireless fighter, and defender, of the rights of the common man.
It is a tragedy that such a man of sharp intellect, and prodigious talents, has been endlessly maligned, in the name of politics.
It must be noted that many of our political icons had suffered similar persecution in the past. My sad conclusion is that when we refuse to encourage good people, the worst amongst us will continue to thrive.
I make bold to declare my maximum respect for ALHAJI ATIKU ABUBAKAR as a great man of ideas and ideals, a peacemaker, man of God, blessed family man, absolutely detribalised, very cosmopolitan, well educated, versatile, humble in spirit, unpretentious, experienced and exposed. He is without doubt, a man of diversity and destiny. May Allah preserve him for the benefit of all us because in the days of tribulations, kids must run to the elders of the house. No one else is better prepared for this role at this auspicious moment than Alhaji Atiku Abubakar (GCON).
