K1 De Ultimate Apologizes Over His Shameless Airport Behaviour

Fuji music legend Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, has apologized for an incident involving him at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on August 5, 2025.
In a statement signed by the singer, he expressed regret over the controversy but maintained that the flask he carried contained only water, not alcohol as alleged in some reports. “The incident that occurred at the local wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport was unfortunate,” he said.
K1 explained that he suffers from chronic dehydration and carries a water flask with him on medical advice. He stated that the flask was empty during security checks and was filled with water at the airport lounge before the incident.
The Fuji star apologized to the Presidency, the Ministry of Aviation, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, ValueJet, and Nigerians at large. “I acknowledge and deeply regret the concerns that arose from the incident,” he said.
K1 emphasized his commitment to his role as a cultural ambassador for Nigerian music and thanked his fans for their support. He maintained that it was never his intention to cause disruption or violate aviation protocols.
