How Arrogant And Drunk KWAM 1 Unruly Behaviour Led To The Suspension Of Two Value Jet Pilots

The federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) says it has launched an investigation into Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, over an alleged violation of airport security protocols at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

In a statement issued Wednesday, FAAN said the incident occurred on Monday, August 5, 2025, during boarding for a ValueJet Airlines flight (VK 201) to Lagos

According to the statement signed by Obiageli Orah, Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, “Preliminary investigations confirmed that the passenger was scheduled to board the morning flight to Lagos operated by ValueJet Airlines (Flight VK 201).”

“During boarding, the passenger attempted to carry an unidentified liquid substance on board despite repeated warnings from Aviation Security personnel and the Flight Captain,” the statement added.

FAAN clarified that the substance was a flask of liquid, which violated international rules prohibiting liquids over 100ml in hand luggage unless declared for medical reasons.

“The passenger was informed of this regulation but reportedly declined to comply,” FAAN noted.

Tensions rose when the musician allegedly refused further screening.

“As boarding continued, an airline security officer asked the passenger to step aside for further clarification. The passenger allegedly refused and spilled the contents of the flask on the officer, which turned out to be alcohol. The Flight Captain intervened but faced similar resistance,” the statement said

After boarding was completed, the musician reportedly moved to the front of the aircraft and refused to leave despite repeated requests.

In a video  the Fuji artist was seen standing in front of the aircraft, with ground personnel interacting with him.

Seconds later, Kwam 1 and the ground personnel were seen dodging the wing of the ValueJet plane as the flight forcefully took off in breach of aviation safety rules.

“He was ultimately escorted away by AVSEC crime unit for further investigation, after which he was released,” FAAN stated.

The authority condemned the disruption and said the matter remains under investigation.

“FAAN reiterates its unwavering commitment to the safety and security of all passengers, crew, and airport personnel. The Authority will not tolerate any action that compromises operational integrity or undermines aviation safety standards, regardless of the individuals involved,” the statement added.

FAAN assured the public that anyone found guilty will be heldaccountable under the law.
