Tinubu’s Adviser, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, Resigns

Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, Special Adviser on Political Matters to President Bola Tinubu, has resigned from his position, citing personal reasons. The resignation was submitted about two weeks ago, but it’s unclear if the presidency has formally accepted it.
Baba-Ahmed, a former Northern Elders Forum spokesperson, played a key role in representing the presidency at high-level engagements during his tenure, which began in September 2023.
His resignation follows that of Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, who stepped down in September 2024 to focus on family medical issues.
