Residents Panic as Terrorists Attack Military Checkpoint in Zuma

On Thursday night, Boko Haram terrorists reportedly attacked soldiers at a military checkpoint near Zuma Rock in Niger State.
At the time of filing this report, the number of casualties was unclear.
The police have remained silent on the incident that frightened residents of Abuja’s outskirts of Zuba and Madala.
Terrorists were believed to have entered the area through the rear of the rock in order to target military personnel on duty.
The incident had caused severe traffic congestion in the area.
Our correspondent learned that several commuters who left Abuja city center at 4:00 p.m. for the Zuba area arrived at their houses around 10:30 a.m.
