2faceThis might come as a surprise to a lot of people, mostly the millions of fans of this Benue State-born talented singer who goes by the real name, Innocent Ujah Idibia, but who is popularly known as TuFace Idibia. We are also surprised as well but if the privileged information dropping on our desk from far away United Kingdom is anything to go by, then TuFace might be in for serious trouble with his United Kingdom fans especially the ones that are residents of Buckinghamshire as they are now crying wolf over the way their beloved TuFace treated them the last time he visited. According to them, what he did was not only a breach of contract but also cheating in all ramifications.

As the story goes, TuFace was contracted to perform at an event precisely in Milton Keynes, in the Buckinghamshire part of the UK. The show tagged ‘Dance Night With 2Face’ was supposed to be a follow-up to the one he had in the city of London the previous day, Saturday, 3rd May 2014. The show that took place in Milton Keynes was held at New Queen Victoria [RO2], 42 Church Street; Wolverton was billed to kick off at 9 pm and run through 3 am the following day. As usual, a lot of TuFace’s fans had thronged the place in large number to enjoy the tunes of their musical idol. Expectedly, many people turned up at the event simply because the following day was a Monday and a bank holiday which means many people would have nowhere to go, so they could party all night.

Disappointment is the least word that the fans used to describe what took place at the venue when they got there. ‘I won’t say I am only disappointed, I am also very angry with TuFace and the organizers of the event called SKP Entertainments. When we got there around 9 pm that the event was billed to kick off, there was no sign that something meaningful would take place there that day as some people who we don’t know were the ones singing instead of the artiste we all paid to come and watch – Tu Fce. All of us patiently waited and waited to see what would happen. Eventually, people started grumbling and asking questions as there was no sign that indicated that TuFace was anywhere around the venue. One of the organizers came to explain that he was in the VIP section and would soon come down to perform. That was how the waiting game continued. TuFace later surfaced, performed for few minutes and left the stage! Some of us wanted to create a scene there that day if not for the presence of the police officers at the venue.’

This magazine was informed that the only way TuFace can atone for his sins is to make a full refund of their money which we learnt was 20 pounds regular and 30 pounds VIP or come back to Milton Keynes for a full performance while the people that have paid for the ‘breach of contract show’ will access the venue free of charge otherwise he will face full sanctions by these his fans who are embittered already and are ready to take their fight with the multiple award-winning artiste to any level.

Recall that last year, another popular Nigerian artiste, Ayo Balogun popularly known as Wizkid was enmeshed in a similar breach of contract saga in Holland. His case was not a palatable one for his fans at all as Wizkid refused to show up for performance after many of his fans from Holland and its neighborhood had bought thousands of tickets online. He was, however, said to have gone back to Holland later to atone for his sins by putting up a full performance there.
