In Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State, Governor Prof Chukwuma Soludo’s instruction that all kidnappers’ and other criminal gangs’ hideouts be raided and houses harboring them be razed was carried out.

On Saturday, members of the state Joint Security Task Force razed an old bungalow in Oba that allegedly belonged to kidnappers.

On Friday, the hideout was raided, and exhibits including locally made pistols, shrine artifacts, charms, concoctions, Indian hemp, and other incriminating things were collected, as well as some arrests.

Soludo praised the task force’s actions, saying the incident will serve as a deterrence to other crook

Soludo, who spoke to journalists at the Governor’s Lodge in Amawbia, warned criminals terrorizing the state that they would have no place to hide any longer because security personnel would be able to catch them wherever they were.

The governor stated that it had been determined that the demolished structure was being used as a den for illegal operations, emphasizing that the government’s policy did not allow criminality to reign in the state.

He cautioned that, from now on, criminals would have no place in the state, according to the law.

Soludo stated that his government was committed to ensuring that the state was safe for all citizens and that individuals may walk freely without fear of being harassed.
