As the story goes, Aregbesola who had come under serious criticism and attack for owing the state civil servants five months’ salary as at the end of March 2015 (a claim he had accepted but blamed on the 40 per cent deduction by the federal government) is said to have in spite of the huge debt the state has accrued in salaries, wages and pension decided to dole out millions of naira to his political friends.
