The plot to remove the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye is gaining momentum by the day and the crisis the unholy intention is generating is also on the increase by the day. Recently at the church’s 60th Annual Convention tagged “Come Up Higher”, the crowd of Yoruba-speaking worshippers of the church missed the spice of the language interpretation which was conspicuously missing each time the G. O. mounted the altar for sermons.
Global News, however, gathered that the absence of interpreters is not unconnected with the current retirement and succession crisis that is currently rocking the church. Earlier this year a faction of the church’s pastors had approached the G. O., popularly called Daddy G. O. by the congregation and asked him to retire from the post after he celebrated his 70th birthday, stating that he has reached the retirement age for pastors in the church.
This has been going on for sometime now and the succession tussle we gathered was the reason the revered man of God decided to cancel interpretation in the church as one of the interpreters (name withheld) was a couple of weeks back alleged to have been caught with substances which said to be charms to harm the man of God. This incident will be the second time in the last couple of years that attempt has been made on Pastor Adeboye using fetish substances; the first was the incident that happened some years back, when charms were discovered in his office, a situation he narrated then in a sermon, when he said he thought it is time for him to be called into heaven before he was miraculously healed by God.
The interpreter, who was formerly a pastor in Province 8, Ogun State was alleged to have been coerced into harming the G. O. by those who want the man of God out at all cost to enable them seize control of the church. The pastor who has since been sacked was caught in possession of the substances, and sources close to the man regarded as the most influential man of God in Nigeria, informed that the interpreter named some pastors of the church who coerced him into the act, but the whole process was kept from church members to avoid panic and violent reaction from the church youths towards the pastor.
There has been underground tussle for power with the man who rose from an interpreter to becoming the G. O. of the church as some pastors of the church are not too comfortable with him remaining the head of the church and the church pastors in the Diaspora are said to have been playing an important role in the camp of those who will want Pastor Adeboye out at all cost and this, sources revealed, is because the presence of the man many Nigerian pastors refer to as Daddy Adeboye is incapacitating them from breaking away the parishes under them as their members will not follow due to their love for the G.O.
In another development the general overseer recently survived a food poisoning. It beats many people’s imagination how why anybody would take another person’s life simply because of position.
Meanwhile the revered man of God has said no matter the level of opposition he would not retire from the vineyard of God. In one of the articles written by the man of God, it was discovered that he has already written about the kind of retirement he wants. In the article culled from the Open Heavens, an annual publication of Monday October 3rd, 2011, Daddy Adeboye, as he’s fondly called wrote about ‘The True Face of Retirement.’ He said God has so much to give to man, and the spirit man has so much space to be filled by God… “Sometimes, when I see some of our elders retiring, I shake my head because contrary to what they think, it is only the beginning for them. Retirement actually means more time to pray all night since you are not going to the office in the morning.
“The greatest literally work done by John the Beloved was Book of Revelation – a revelation he got while banished on the Island of Patmos. If God allows me to retire, I would sit at His feet daily and learn from Him, receive revelations and pour these into books for generations unborn. This way, by His grace, I could produce a book every month until he calls me home.” Obviously, this should tell those who clamour for his retirement that the respected man of God whose regime as the G.O brought goodness to the church cannot be retired by any man but God.
It is so evident that even when God has permitted him to retire; he will still be involved in the work of God, publishing revelations from God to the members of the church and other denominations. “ I will sit at His feet’; of course, the only place a man can sit at the feet of Christ is in the vineyard, so, it should be understood that until God says come home, Pa Adeboye remains the General Overseer of one of the biggest congregation churches in the world.
To corroborate this, one of the aides of the G. O., a senior pastor of the church, advised the congregation to be mindful of their statements, saying that the emergence of Pastor Adeboye as the general overseer of the church was divine.
The special assistant to the general overseer of RCCG, Pastor D. A. Ilori cleared the air by telling the congregation that Pastor Adeboye could not retire from the position of the general overseer of the church yet, as the position was not political but a divine one.

This is purely a church matter but i think the RCCG should look into their constitution on what it says about retirement,tenure and other matters related thereof. Anglican Church priests,Archdeacons,Bishops and Archbishops retire at 70 no matter the tittles or positions they occupy even the former Archbishop of canterbraury who is the head of the church worldwide retired at just 65 for personal reason. But this is pentecoatal church so i implore them to trade with caution in order to aviod spilt. I pray God to guide them.
Those that are forcefully looking for the exit of Daddy G.O are ignorant of divine enthronement and at the same time looking for the wrath of God. Actually, they are carrying out the assignment of their father, Satan and woefully, they will continue to fail because Light is far, far above the darkness. JESUS IS LORD.

I am baffled by what is happening in churches today, its not only RCCG. People love power, fame and money that they forget that one day will be one day the owner will claim what its His. GO is doing a brilliant work of God, his call is unique and divine and some people think been GO is easy or they can bind devil more than anyone. God that divinely picked Daddy G.O is not asking for anybody’s opinion as to when to change him.He is a sovereign being and rules as such. JOB did not find it funny when he decided to question God over his predicament.

Retirement can only be possible by d appointee retiring the appointed. Now, who appointed Pastor Adeboye, God or man? If God, then, allow God retire him, if it is man, we all know it is Pa Fadayomi that appointed him, so it is practically logical to me that we allow Pa Fadayomi to retire him. The Lord permitted this to exposed the fact that Daddy G.O. is purely rendering his divine services through the backing of the Lord Jesus while those ones are of the opinion of the otherwise. Little wonder they tried to go diabolical. I really want to admonish that Baba (G.O.) should lay a very concrete foundation for ordination into the Pastoral work in RCCG. What is obtainable now, if allow to continue, (in this dispensation, where money and position is the tool devil is using against the Church) then, RCCG will continue to breed quack Pastors that may rock the boat sooner or later. Standard should be placed on ordination from parish Pastor to Full time Pastor. The system of making use of the ”available” and not the ”called” is a serious problem. Ordained or not Ordained should be harmonized to curb this evil. A brother that is appointed to Pastor a Parish surely have souls to lead. What is rampat in RCCG is appointment and ordination by calling at all. What is the difference between the Ordained Pastor and the Un-Ordained Pastor when both are to lead Souls, preach the gospel and Cousel/guid the flocks (Some un-ordained even have many members in their Parishes more than the ordained pastors). The process of calling into the Ministry to Pastor should be thorough, divine and by revelation and not what we are experiencing today that is nothing short of secular world’s kind of career progression. There should be a Body that would seek the face of God before ordination of anybody into Pastoral work, there should be serious pre-ordination purification/screening and observation process and post Ordination induction courses/training to impact sound doctrinal/attitudinal skills before going to the pulpit to lead. (Some are even forced to lead just because such is the only Senior Brother/Elder in the Church on mission to plant a new Church. The quest for planting of Parishes and increase should no longer be permitted to becloud the wisdom of who to Pastor. God is not interested in the population that are only good for hell due to wrong doctrine, unfit Leaders. Jesse (the Father of David, presented all his Children and Samuel had to even picked the wrong ones until God had to speak) How many Parish/Area/Zonal/Provincial Pastor in RCCG were actually called by God into the Ministry of Pasturing? Majority were picked because of Position in the Church, Relationship with Pastors, Wealth and popularity. No body held vigil (prayers) and received injunctions from God (as in the Case of David etc) before such ordination is done. Let’s-go-a Fishing is breeding many ill-equipped Parishes with all sorts of people to Pastor such Parishes since somebody must be there without recourse to divine revelation. This is one of the fundamental problem that is now manifesting in different forms in RCCG. Hence, many of these wangle their ways to the top (up to the Headquarters) to later manifest the seed in them. Politics is the rave of the moment now in RCCG, many Parish,Area/Zonal Pastors now excuses the Altar to travel to villages, towns and their states of origin to attend Political meetings, Rallies and Convention to become Counsellors, Chairmen, Governors, Ministers, Honourable Members of the House, etc now. Forsaking the divine calling for the man-made calling that amounts to worldliness and lusts. What is the position of Pastors (Apostles) in the World of politics. When he that suppose to guide through divine revelation/information to the worldly leaders are themselves clamouring to be their. All these are the biblical Usahs of our generation who wanted to held the Levites for the Ark not to fall. They want to become the instructed instead of Instructors. Watch their end result and see if by been partisan (getting involved) will make them change the world that was not theirs. I have a lot to say but will reserve the rest here. Let God reveal the many lapses in RCCG to His Son and serious structures be put in place to curb future explosion. If they can do this to the G.O. (As they did to Moses) with all the anointing, then, I wonder what will be by the time the G.O. will join the Triumphant in glory. May God take control.

This field marshall of the Lord (Pastor E A Adeboye A.K.A Daddy G.O) is unstoppable, even if satan transforms to man and attacks him because the scripture that says “He who watches over Israel neither sleeps nor slumbers” cannot be broken. I am not trying to drag myself into any vain talk but just to warn whoever thinks he still has heaven in focus to desist from touching the Lord’s annointed or doing him any harm at all, no matter how seemingly insignificant.
