She is about to paint the town red again in her usual manner and style.Flambouyant Senator and stylish celebrity,Florence Ita-Giwa will soon join the exclusive club of the septuagenarians as she is about to turn 70.And plans, we hear, are in top gear to throw a lavish birthday bash that will again set tongues wagging.Mama Bakkassi, as she’s fondly called has a reputation for being a classy party-planner extra-ordinaire going by her antecedents in this area.Senator Ita-Giwa has organised some of the ”baddest” parties in the country’s annals as she’s got what it takes to pull the biggest A-list guests together in one roof.

However, what we do not know is how the implementation of this birthday bash will pan out eventually as the Senator did commit a big blunder with her favourite (Koko) daughter’s wedding in 2014.The wedding reception which took place at the Eko hotel and Suites was nothing but a nightmare as some of the biggest names in the country could not enter the hall for hours. And when the venue was eventually opened for guests, seating arrangements, late arrival of food and drinks messed up the whole night. It got so bad that the creme-de-la-creme in the society including the richest black woman in the world Folorunsho Alakija,Senator Daisy Danjuma, billionaire businesswoman Bola Shagaya, Chief Mrs Abba Folawiyo and other big names nearly walked out of the eagerly anticipated ”party of the year”.Some of them actually had to pay for the cheap Champagne that was supposed to be served guests as they resorted to buy wine and champagne from the hotel bar. As the invites have started flying out for this fast-approaching birthday bash, one wonders the kind of party arrangement that has been put in place and the kind of reception that will greet her teeming celebrity fans this time around.Well,we are not really good at guessing but there has been a very bad antecedent following the show of shame at Koko’s wedding reception on the 20th of September 2014.
