Adeboye Curses Redeemed Pastors Again … Says, don’t sabotage my N35billion project

According to the Bible, “whatever a man sows, so shall he reap;” this best explains what some pastors in the fold of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) worldwide are currently going through for breaching the trust the general overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye had put on them in the past. At the recent pastors’ conference of the church which was held on the Wednesday, 7th August, chaired by the amiable pastor fondly called Daddy GO, we learnt that he practically placed a curse on any of them who would do anything to sabotage the progress of the church. He was said to have condemned such person to fate befitting only the devil, not sparing members of their families or even the extended families.

The action of the general overseer is prompted by all sorts of unheard things that the pastors of the church have at one time or the other been involved in, for instance the recent case where some of them who were in charge of construction of a project in the Yaba area of Lagos have been frustrating the contractor just because he would not give them bribe for securing the contract. This and others were previously published in Global News with details of how they had been soiling the name of the church because of the various nefarious activities they have been engaging in to the detriment of the image of the church.

It was therefore like a bombshell when Daddy GO after his meeting with the pastors announced August 9, during the church’s 61st Annual Convention, themed “Jesus”, that plans had been concluded for the church to build the Heaven-on-earth auditorium at the Redemption City. The project which we gathered is budgeted to cost the church a whopping N35billion is the first of its kind in the world.

A source revealed to Global News that the whole project which will include a staggering 1.5 million seating capacity as the main auditorium, a youth auditorium with a 100,000 seating capacity, 10 standard cafeterias, 10 shopping arcades, ushers dormitories, banks, e-payment centres and parking spaces that will contain about 90,000 cars will all be built on 90 acres of land at Simawa area of Ogun State.

The new project, we reliably gathered, has been contracted to a Chinese firm that will be coming to set the whole thing. It was further revealed to us that the construction materials will be brought into the country where they will be assembled and unlike normal constructions in the country, this one is going to be assembled not built. The project which is meant to host the church’s 62nd Annual Convention is expected to be completed before August 2014.

Sources close to the man of God revealed that the project became necessary due to the stress the increasing congregation of the church suffers whenever there is a joint programme in the church where church members nationwide will gather. The space for car park was also very important to alleviate the hardship road users experience whenever the church has any programme at the Redemption camp.

Against the expectations of most pastors in the church, the project will be supervised by the general overseer, whom sources revealed is doing that to make sure the project is completed on time knowing that the resources will be pillaged if put in the care of any of the church pastors. Though it could not be ascertained if the fund for the project is available, we can tell you there has been announcement on the church website that the congregation should donate towards the project. In soliciting for support on the church website, donations were grouped into three with the first being those who would support the project with N1billion, second N100million and the third from N50million and below.

We were also informed that the man of God said he might finally rest after the completion of the new auditorium.

It would be recalled that the man popularly known as Daddy GO has been facing different attacks from some pastors of the church who would want him to retire since he attained the age of 70, so that such project would fall on their laps. There has allegedly been so many attempt of the life of the revered man of God, one of which he was poisoned. It got to a climax when some of his pastors were said to have engaged in the use of fetish substance just in their quest to push him out of office.
