The murder of police inspector Adebayo Adeforiti and the kidnapping of a Chinese national by unidentified gunmen at the CGC construction company have both been verified by the Police Command in Kwara.
On the Shao/Oloru Expressway is the business. At at 16:15 on July 2, the incident happened.
This information can be found in a statement made on Tuesday in Ilorin by the Command’s spokesman, SP Okasanmi Ajayi.
According to the statement, a group of armed men believed to be kidnappers broke into the CGC construction company along the Shao/Oloru Expressway, shot and killed Inspector Adebayo Adeforiti of PMF 15, Ilorin, who was on duty at the business, and kidnapped a Chinese worker before fleeing into the bushes.
“Upon receiving the information, CP Tuesday Assayomo, the commissioner of police for the Kwara State Police Command, ordered a thorough and covert search, rescue, and arrest operation into the case. The command’s tactical teams, vigilantes, and local hunters were deployed into the area in hopes of finding and apprehending the perpetrators.
The good people of Kwara State are urged to exercise caution and provide the police with any information that can be useful for the completion of this particular rescue mission.
“The CP commensurate with the relatives of the slain police inspector and those of the abducted Chinese, vowing that no effort would be spared to ensure the capture and exposure of those responsible for this heinous atrocity.”
