Victorious Army Church has announced that the funeral ceremony of its General Overseer and founder, Apostle Joseph Dominic Agboli will begin on Friday 26th November, 2021.
This was disclosed during a press briefing that was held at the premises of the church. The church elders stated that the late General Overseer and founder of the church would be laid to rest at the church premises here in Lagos,Nigeria

“We know you are aware that our father in the Lord, Apostle Joseph Agboli, has been taken home to be with the Lord,We want to assure you that nothing will stop the work of God from moving on. Our late founder and father may be absent in the body but he is present in the spirit. Indeed, God is even more powerful at distance!
“We are currently preparing for the burial service that will start from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th November 2021 in honour of Apostle Agboli’s life and legacy.The three days burial ceremony will kick of on Friday 26th with a service of songs and praise night,while the funeral service/interment will hold on Saturday 27th and thanksgiving service on Sunday 27th November,2021.
Apostle Agboli, a popular powerful preacher , died on 25th August 2021
Though the church did not state the cause of his death but stated that contrary to the wide spread rumors that he died in London hospital ,the church elders said he actually died here in Lagos , Nigeria.
Also, the church elders maintained that there wouldn’t be any power tussle concerning who will lead the since its the Holy Spirit that is directing the affairs of the church since it was founded and the Spirit is already working to direct them on what to do.
The church elders also disclosed that the burial is slated for November ,because Victorious Army is a mega church that has members all over the world , this will give everybody ample time to prepared well for their journey so as to be part of the burial ceremony, especially at this critical time of Covid-19. Besides , his children are also not residing in Nigeria and they will need to come home for the burial of their beloved father.
Agboli was born in 1963. He was known to be dedicated christian and his love for God made him to be a committed born again and christian student union leader that attracted the Anointing of God upon his life while a student both in secondary and tertiary institutions he attended
