Zenith Bank MD, Peter Amangbo, Adaora Umeoji Not at War

Contrary to rumors and insinuation about alleged  cold war between   Zenith Bank Managing Director, Peter Amangbo and Deputy Managing Director, Adaora Umeoji, this magazine gathered that there is nothing like that between the two head honchos of the bank 

 

Those who are in the know confirmed  to us that the alleged   war between the two top bankers is  just a figment of the imagination of bad people and enemies of progress who are not happy with progress and smooth running of the bank lately

We gathered that there is nothing like that  among the staffers of Zenith Bank and all the workers at the bank work as a team under the leadership of the Managing Director with team spirit since the bank was founded by Jim Ovia years back.

This magazine further learnt that the success story of the bank recently can be successfully linked to the synergy and team spirit between the Peter and Adaora.

For those who don’t know, Mr. Peter Amangbo holds a B.Eng. Degree (Electrical and Electronics Engineering) from University of Benin and an MBA from the University of Warwick, Coventry in the United Kingdom. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA).

 

Before his appointment, Mr. Amangbo has been an Executive Director of the bank since 2005 and has over twenty four (24) years cognate banking experience all of which has been with Zenith Bank. He worked previously with PriceWaterHouse (now PriceWaterHouseCoopers) as a Senior Consultant in the Financial Services Group.

He has attended the Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD, France and Wharton Graduate School of Business, USA.

Adaora, prior to her appointment as Deputy Managing Director, she was the Executive Director in charge of Public Sector, Abuja, North, Middle Belt and South-East Zones.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, B.Sc (Hons) from the University of Jos, Plateau State and MBA in Business Administration from the University of Calabar.

Adaora Umeoji has over twenty (20) years cognate banking industry and a very broad Executive management experience. She has held several management positions in the Bank and has contributed significantly to the current profitability of the Bank. She currently heads the most profitable arm of the Bank and has competently acquitted herself in all areas of the bank she has worked.

Ms. Umeoji has attended several offshore management programs including the Havard Business School (Executive Education Certificate (OPM) Key Executive Programme, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA (Certificate in Strategic Thinking & Management for Competitive Advantage) as well as the Wharton Business School.

She is a member of several professional bodies including Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Nigeria (ICPAN) and Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).
