Inconsistent Senator Tejuosho in Dilemma

…As Emperor Amosun Declares to run for Senate
Senator Lanre Tejuosho is no doubt in the biggest dilemma of his political career following the public declaration of Ogun State governor, Ibikunle Amosun to contest for  the Ogun Central  senatorial seat that Tejuosho is currently occupying.
The battle between Amosun and Tejuosho had been going on underground for some time now, almost immediately the governor commenced his second term as the number one citizen of Ogun State.
Those in Amosun’s camp claimed that the governor and Tejuosho had a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that once the governor finishes his two terms, he will return to the Senate, meaning that Tejuosho would have to step down.
But the case was said to have taken a new twist when Tejuosho later changed his mind and categorically told Amosun that he will continue to represent his people at the senate.
Being fully aware of Amosun’s power, influence and desperation to reclaim the senatorial seat he once occupied before becoming a governor, Tejuosho opted to join the opposition party (PDP). He was indeed among the National Assembly members who defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), but because he is a daddy’s boy who doesn’t have a mind of his own, he retraced his step and claimed that he never moved to the opposition party.
His inconsistency came to the fore when he recently said it was President Buhari that prevailed on him not to leave the party.
Last week, during the Ogun State APC caucus meeting, Amosun said “I’m going to the senate –it’s not a rumour.” This happened while Senator Tejuosho was on seat.
Those who were at the meeting claimed that he was shocked to the marrow because he least expected such from the governor, having being assured by the presidency that he is going to retain his seat.
